Three members of a family killed for enmity
LAHORE: Three members of a family, including a lawyer, his wife and their minor daughter were killed in the Chuhng area on Sunday.
The victims were identified as Amanat Ali Advocate, 33, his wife Shabana, 30, and their two-month-old daughter Azal. Unidentified assailants broke into the home of Amanat, a resident of Agric Town Chuhng, took the couple to the toilet, bound their hands, feet and stabbed them while strangling their daughter.
Upon receiving the information, the police rushed to the scene and transported the bodies to the morgue. According to the preliminary investigation, the incident appears to be the result of an old feud. Previously, the victim’s father was also killed as a result of a feud. The brother of the victim Amanat, released from prison two years ago, was missing. Amanat’s mother, Hayat, was present in the house at the time of the incident.
According to sources, the police arrested a man suspected of being relatives of the victims. Defendant Babar happened to be the victim’s relative and had a former enmity with victim Amanat. Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar learned of the incident and requested a report from CCPO Lahore.
The Chief Minister ordered the arrest of the accused at the earliest and ordered the police to bring the culprits to justice. He ordered to bring justice to the victim family.
found dead: A 50-year-old woman was found dead at the Data Darbar police compound on Sunday. Passers-by spotted the body of a woman lying on the sidewalk near Metro Bridge in the Data Darbar neighborhood and informed the police. The victim, who has not yet been identified, is believed to be a drug addict. The police transported the body to the morgue.
kite makers: Shahdara Police arrested two kite makers and recovered the kite from their possession. The accused have been identified as Farooq and Sarwar. Police recovered 600 kites and 21 spools of kite string in their possession.
Thief: Harbanspura Police arrested an injured thief and recovered the loot from his possession. The accused identified as Arshad, son of Sabir, snatched a mobile phone from a woman in the Ghaziabad area and drove away from the scene. The thief panicked when he saw a chase car and police coming from the opposite direction. He couldn’t control his high-speed bike which went straight into an open sewer. As a result, his leg was fractured. Police pulled the injured dacoit from the drain and transferred him to hospital. Police recovered seven cell phones, cash and a motorcycle in his possession.
car fire: A 38-year-old man suffered burns after a car he was traveling in caught fire on Defense Road here on Sunday. Police said when a car, driven by Raheem’s son Yahya, arrived near a university, the car caught fire. The driver stopped his car and got out. The injured driver was taken to hospital. The firefighters arrived on the scene and saw at first sight that a short circuit could be the cause of the incident.
