THQ Nordic Reveals ‘The Valiant’ Medieval Action Strategy

THQ Nordic and Kite Games revealed The bravea real-time strategy (RTS) action game that follows a retired crusader trying to save the world from his former brother-in-arms.

Set in the 1300s, The brave is a team-based RTS set across Europe and the Middle East. Developer Kite Games shared that the game will focus on “more tactical combat with smaller forces” and will also include RPG elements.

This means that players can expect to customize their characters with new gear and unique skill trees, while decisions made outside of the battlefield will impact every campaign level.

As for The braveof the plot, Kite Games shared the following:

“After an ancient artifact falls into the wrong hands, retired crusader Theoderich von Akenburg must take up arms again and lead his valiant squad across Europe and the Middle East to reach the remaining relics first. “

Along with an announcement trailer, publisher THQ Nordic has shared a second trailer that takes a look at the game in action. This second trailer features The braveteam combat, many of the game’s main characters, and how skill trees will allow players to choose their own style of play.

Although both trailers focus on The bravefrom the single-player campaign, the game will also include several multiplayer modes. This includes competitive 1v1 and 2v2 modes, as well as a three-player “Last Man Standing” mode.

Although no release date has yet been shared, The brave will launch on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

In other gaming news, Remedy Entertainment has let fans know what they can expect from the studio’s next five titles. While Alan Wake 2 is in “full phase of production”, Remedy Entertainment has four more games in the works.
