The Township of Ludlow Budget Hearing for 2022 will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. The budget can be viewed by calling Jeanetta Berentz at 740-865-3300.

¯ The July Palmer Township meeting date has been changed to July 6 at 7:30 p.m. due to a scheduling conflict.

¯ The Township of Marietta Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 pm on July 7 at the Township of Marietta Recreation Center, 260 Sandhill Road, Reno.

¯ The Township of Grandview will hold regular 2021 meetings at 6:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month at the Township Hotel. The following months will be held on different dates: July 6 and Sept. 13. These meetings will also be held at 6 pm.

¯ The 1955 Marietta High School class resumed lunch and learns at 11:30 am on the second Monday of each month at the Harmar Tavern, 205 Maple Street. All classmates and friends are welcome.

¯ Liberty Township will hold regular monthly 2021 meetings at 7:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month.

The Township of Decatur will hold its monthly town hall meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at the Township Building on Welch Road in Cutler.

¯ The Township of Ludlow will hold regular monthly meetings on the last day of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.


¯ WSCC will be hosting the free Degrees 2 Dollars Open House from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. today at the WSCC premises in the Main Building at 710 Colegate Drive. St. Mary’s Catholic School will host Super Bingo on Saturday. Doors open at 3 p.m. and bingo begins at 6 p.m. Door prizes will be drawn every 15 minutes from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free food will be provided at 4:15 p.m. from the Wrangler Bar & Grill.

¯ The annual Casto reunion for descendants of John and Renna Casto will be held July 10 at Elks Club 477 Colegate Drive. Gathering time is 5 p.m. and dinner is 6 p.m. Participants are requested to bring meat, a covered dish, drinks or an item for the sale of the white elephant. Table service will be provided.

The 75th Descendants of Nicholas and Philomina Bauerbach reunion will meet on July 11 at noon at the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Social Hall in Lowell. Participants are kindly requested to bring a covered dish.

¯ The Children’s Toy and Doll Museum will be holding a fundraiser for a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 17 at 206 Gilman Ave. to Marietta. The sale will include housewares, decor, glassware, garden and garage items, books, jewelry, toys and more. Donations of used and clean items (not clothing) for sale can be brought to the museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. from July 13 to 15.

¯ The Dally Memorial Library will host its second bluegrass music event for the summer on July 17th. The Mountain State Bluegrass Express will perform from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sardis Community Center. Ham, chicken and noodles, au gratin potatoes, green beans, bread rolls, desserts and drinks will be available for purchase. All proceeds go to the private Dally Memorial Library.

¯ The 40th meeting of Wendell and Catherine Offenberger will take place on August 15th at noon at Our Lady of Mercy Social Hall in Lowell. ¯ The Castle’s Virtual History Camp: Reconstructing America 1880-1900 will be held from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on July 5 via Zoom. ¯ The Mid-Ohio Valley Zonta Club is seeking nominations for 2021 Elizabeth L. Hadler Woman of the Year. ¯ The Marietta Area Recycling Center (MARC) has resumed its regular schedule of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
