Join JBLM for Armed Force Day Saturday – The Suburban Times

Announcement of Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Armed Forces Day will take place on Heritage Hill at McChord Field from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The event is free and open to the general public.

Come and enjoy activities for all ages. Explore displays of static military aircraft and vehicles, including infantry carriers and weapon exhibits. See living history encampments depicting military life in the past and ask questions to learn about bygone eras of military life in the field.

Look for live entertainment, roving entertainers, a pump track (bring your bike and helmet), military dog ​​demonstrations, laser tag, food and craft vendors and more.

The general public (those without DOD ID cards) must use the main McChord Field gate to enter the facility. The general public will be directed to a satellite car park where free shuttles will take them to the event site. Buses will run continuously throughout the event.

JBLM is asking people not to attend if they have symptoms of COVID or have been in close contact with someone with COVID within five days of the event.
