IG orders action against kite and wheelie
LAHORE: Punjab Police Inspector General Rao Sardar Ali Khan ordered field agents to carry out a massive crackdown on kites, single-seaters and aerial gunfire on Quaid-e-Azam Day, Christmas and week ends.
Giving instructions to all RPOs, CPOs and DPOs in Punjab, IG Punjab said the main function of the police is to provide safety and a peaceful environment for people. IG said strict measures should be taken against the negative elements involved in the illegal activities on these occasions. Field agents must be present in the field on Quaid day and at Christmas to ensure the full implementation of the designed security plan. IG Punjab said those involved in the making, buying and selling of kites and metal ropes as well as aerial and aerial shooting should be handcuffed immediately.
CHRISTIAN EMPLOYEES: IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan said Christian employees serving in the Punjab police are a valuable asset to the department. He said that Christian workers have served remarkably in every section of society and their contribution to the maintenance of peace and the development of the country need not be showcased. He expressed these views at a special ceremony in honor of Christian employees on Christmas Eve at the central police station on Friday. IG Punjab and Christian employees working at the central police office shared a Christmas cake and distributed Eidi to Christian employees.
Simulation Security Exercise: The Special Protection Unit (SPU), Elite, Rapid Response Force and other personnel participated in a simulated exercise on Friday to verify security arrangements in the central police of Punjab. The Punjab police spokesperson said that during the mock exercises, security personnel foiled a mock terrorist attack on the CPO. He said that during the mock exercise, the SPU gave a practical demonstration and eliminated the fictitious terrorists and took the injured to hospital.
