BPD Identifies Suspect in Wednesday’s Downtown Jake Incident | Top story

Billings Police have identified the ex-Jake’s Downtown employee who is the suspect in a knife incident that took place at the company Wednesday afternoon.
Sgt. Reid reports that Brandon Bird, 21, entered downtown Jake on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said Bird seized two knives and attempted to rob two of the employees working at Jake’s, chasing them with the knives. Two employees were stabbed and two others were cut.
Two employees were taken to a local hospital for treatment and Bird was arrested at the scene, according to Sgt. Reid.

Police Sgt. Billings. Clyde Reid tells us that an employee who was fired from downtown Jake earlier Wednesday returned to the company and stabbed three people.
Sgt. Reid says the employee walked into Jake’s house on Wednesday afternoon with a few knives. He allegedly tried to get money from one of the waitresses, but to no avail.
The man then stabbed three people. Two of these people were transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
Eventually the man was apprehended, Sgt. Reid tells us.
At this time, Sgt. Reid says all three victims appear to be in stable condition.
BILLINGS – There is a massive presence of emergency vehicles in front of Jake’s Downtown on 1st Avenue North in Billings.
